AUSDANCE NSW ANNOUNCES DANCE SPACE RESIDENCY PROGRAM 2008

The Australian Dance Council – Ausdance NSW has announced the recipients of the inaugural Dance Space Residency Program 2008.

This new Ausdance NSW initiative is funded through the City of Sydney Cultural Grants and Sponsorship program and offers Dance Space Residencies for seven of Sydney’s independent dance artists over a 13 week period at Queen Street Studio.

Ausdance NSW with venue partner Queen Street Studio invites independent dance artists, collectives and companies to submit proposals for the inaugural 2008 program.

This new initiative is funded through the City of Sydney Cultural Grants and Sponsorship program and offers Dance Space Residencies at Queen Street Studio for Sydney’s independent performing artists.

The program is a direct response to the ongoing challenge of access to affordable and appropriate spaces for the development of their dance practice, creative development, mentorships and rehearsal of work.

AUSDANCE NSW WILL PROVIDE:

Work/rehearsal space at Queen Street Studio of up to 4 weeks
Marketing support for informal showings/discussions
Public liability insurance for Artists in Residence
