Lex Lindsay (Chair)
Lex is the Artistic Director of Queer Screen. He has also worked as an
administrator, programmer, producer and publicist for companies including: The
Adelaide Feast Festival, Griffin Theatre Company/Stables Theatre and Tangent
Productions. Lex’s works include the one-man-shows Swallowing Geography and Armour/Amour, and the film Tempting Fate. Commissions include the short plays Prime Real Estate and Safety’ as well as musical scores for theatre, dance and film.
Erin Morrissey (Secretary)
Erin holds a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) and a Graduate Diploma in Directing from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA). She has worked in the Arts for over 15 years and currently produces large scale outdoor events. She has been on the board of Queen Street Studio since the beginning and is continually inspired by the space and the people who contribute their time, love and creative energy to feeding and nurturing the vision of Queen Street Studio.
Skye Nevin (Treasurer)
Skye attended acting classes through her youth and though no longer
performing she still continues to ham it up on a regular basis. She has
run her own bookkeeping business for the last 15 years with a client base
predominantly in the music industry. Her clients have included music
producer/mixer management, recording studios and independent record labels
but for the last few years she has worked primarily for an artist
management company and boutique record label that are fortunate to
represent some of Australia’s most successful music artists.
Skye has also
recently discovered a new artistic release and is in the process of
writing her first novel. She is delighted to be a fledgling supporter of Queen Street Studio and is excited by the space and the innovative niche it
has fostered for the Sydney artistic community.
Sarah Wilson (Extraordinary Member)
Sarah is one of Sydney’s leading arts publicists, working across visual and performing arts. Currently Publicity Manager at Sydney Festival, previous clients include Sydney Opera House, Sydney Symphony, Sydney Theatre Company, Griffin, Belvoir and Urban Theatre Projects. With a definite preference for remaining behind-the-scenes, Sarah is constantly amazed at what people will dream up for the stage as well as those who are willing to perform. She loves her job all the more for the opportunities she has to get up close to creatives and performers before they do those crazy things. Plus, she gets to tell other people about it all, which is by far the best part. Since joining the Queen Street Studio Board in 2010, Sarah is enjoying being at the pointy end of arts practise in Sydney.
Rosie Dennis (Extraordinary Member)
Rosie Dennis is a Sydney-based artist and joined the Queen Street Studio Board in 2011.
Her work has been presented at dance, theatre, live art and poetry festivals in Central Europe, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Since 2007 she has received a number of new work commissions including: Künstlerhaus Mousonturm for The Plateaux Festival, Frankfurt; Arnolfini/InBetween Time Festival, UK; Performance Space, Sydney; Campbelltown Arts Centre, The Strand Ephemera Festival, Townsville; ABC TV and Channel 4 (UK).
In addition to Rosie’s performance work she has taught for Department of Juvenile Justice, Holroyd City Council, Auburn Migrant Resource Centre, STARTTS (Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors) and PCYC.
When not performing she is employed as the Live Art Curator for Campbelltown Arts Centre.
