Michelle Kotevski (Chair)

Michelle is the Executive Producer of renowned contemporary performance company Urban Theatre Projects urbantheatre.com.au. Between 2005 and 2009 Michelle was a Creative Producer with national arts and social change company Big hART Inc where she produced the award-winning JUNK THEORY for Sydney Festival (2007) then Adelaide Bank Festival of the Arts (2008) and Ten Days On the Island Festival (2009). In 2009, Michelle was the project manager for one of the hits of the Sydney Festival – Play Me I’m Yours – and worked with UK artist Luke Jerram. In recent years she has worked with the William Buckland Foundation, RPR Consulting, the VCA and Penrith City Council. One of her favourite gigs of all time was with The Glynn Nicholas Group on Eurobeat – Almost Eurovision – the show was an enemy of mascara – waterproof or not.

In a previous life she worked with Shopfront Theatre for Young People, Theatre Hyrdra, One Extra Dance, Carnivale Festival and Xtext Magazine. Thinking bureaucracy could be the high point of artistic achievement – she spent 5 years learning about funding, politics and diplomacy at the Australia Council for the Arts with the Theatre and Community Cultural Development Boards. Michelle has been with Queen Street Studio since the beginning and loves it.

Erin Morrissey (Secretary)

Erin holds a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) and a Graduate Diploma in Directing from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA). She has worked in the Arts for over 15 years and currently produces large scale outdoor events. She has been on the board of Queen Street Studio since the beginning and is continually inspired by the space and the people who contribute their time, love and creative energy to feeding and nurturing the vision of Queen Street Studio.

Rhys Morris (Public Officer)

Rhys owns and operates Righteye Creative, a Sydney design company which has been a major supporter of Queen Street Studio since its inception. Rhys has a BA in Visual Communication and Design from Wellington, Aotearoa/NZ. Righteye carries out low cost and volunteer work for the theatre and independant art communities wherever possible and has proudly donated to Queen Street Studio its time and resources on marketing, design, internet content and now board membership.

Skye Nevin (Treasurer)

Skye attended acting classes through her youth and though no longer performing she still continues to ham it up on a regular basis. She has run her own bookkeeping business for the last 15 years with a client base predominantly in the music industry. Her clients have included music producer/mixer management, recording studios and independent record labels but for the last few years she has worked primarily for an artist management company and boutique record label that are fortunate to represent some of Australia’s most successful music artists.

Skye has also recently discovered a new artistic release and is in the process of writing her first novel. She is delighted to be a fledgling supporter of Queen Street Studio and is excited by the space and the innovative niche it has fostered for the Sydney artistic community.

Lex Lindsay (Extraordinary Member)

Lex is the Artistic Director of Queer Screen. He has also worked as an administrator, programmer, producer and publicist for companies including: The Adelaide Feast Festival, Griffin Theatre Company/Stables Theatre and Tangent Productions.
