Julia Lenton: Administrator & Marketing Coordinator

Julia Lenton is a freelance arts, theatre and music publicist and administrator. Graduating from the University of Sydney with a degree in Media & Communications and Performance Studies, Julia owes her days at university for inspiring a bizarre love of spreadsheets, group emails and the less glamorous ‘behind-the-scenes’ of the arts industry.

After producing comedy shows on campus, Julia was asked to produce Tumbleweed Theatrical Productions’ Alice In Wonderland, a children’s show which was performed at Trades Hall (MICF, 2009) and at Bondi Pavilion. Later that year she met the dynamic Augusta Supple and became Production Coordinator for the Brand Spanking New Festival; a celebration of new Australian writing. While completing a publicity internship at the 2010 Sydney Festival, Julia was incredibly fortunate to meet acclaimed publicist Helene Fox, who would later act as mentor during the first campaigns of her professional career; CarriageWorks’ Wrong Prom series of events and Underbelly Arts: Public Lab + Festival. Since then, Julia has run successful campaigns for theatre and arts events and festivals and for musician Emma Davis. Her freelance publicity work is completed alongside her role as Administrator & Marketing Coordinator at Queen Street Studio.

Kym Lenoble: Studio Event Coordinator

Kym Lenoble is a freelance events producer, promotions coordinator and pop up restaurant vigilante. Graduating with a performing arts diploma majoring in German Cabaret, Japanese Physical Theatre and Stage Combat he entered the real world with a skill-set that left his parents and many industries baffled.

Through various music and theatre projects he eventually hit his stride co-launching a club night in Sydney that caused quite a controversy amongst music and club scenes. Gay Bash saw a merge of sub-cultures and mainstream fashion and music groups, attracting major Australian music and performance artists.

After 3 years of living a life Leigh Bowery would be proud of, he left for London where he landed a job at Inca Productions as an assistant producer for London Fashion week amongst other major clients. He worked with a notorious super model and various fashion shows across London, acquiring experience in fast-paced high-end events. He made cameos working for major London art galleries including working on ICONIC, a music festival at the National Portrait Gallery and featuring works by such great artists as Patrick Wolf. Alongside this he ran club events and a locally sourced pop-up restaurant “Les Trois Moutiers” which one reviewer described as “bloody remarkable”.

Back in Sydney in 2010, Kym became the promotions coordinator for the Sydney Festival and used his skills to collaborate with major sponsors and artists to create event solutions that would leave everybody smiling.

Currently employed as Studio Event Coordinator at Queen Street Studio, he enjoys making events happen and still finds time to work on his various pop-up sustainable restaurant dreams.
