TOOLKIT

TOOLKIT is Queen Street Studio’s professional development program for Sydney’s independent performing arts community and is perfect for anyone interested in adding skills and inspiration to their creative ‘tool kit’.

Lead by Sydney’s most inspired and experienced artists; TOOLKIT is designed to provide a great environment for trying out new ideas and developing new approaches alongside a diverse cross- section of our artistic community.

The program is specifically for emerging or mid-career performance practitioners and is open to members and non-members of Queen Street Studio. TOOLKIT is delivered in monthly sessions (4-week blocks) on Wednesday evenings from 6–9pm at Queen Street Studio.

“The workshop is an investigation into integrating dance with spoken text. Each session will consist of two parts. First, there will be a warm up training that focuses on sensitising spatial and speed-related awareness as well as heightening coordination skills and physical fitness. The second part is dedicated to the exploration of various improvisational and compositional strategies relating to contemporary physical performance and dance practices. The focus will be on improvisation within predetermined structures and the interplay between physical and vocal scores.” –

RATES
TOOLKIT is a non-profit program that has been subsidised by Queen Street Studio, with fees going directly to paying the guest artist and for the use of the space.

Queen Street Studio Members Rate:
$125.00 per month session (4-week block)

Non Member Rates:
Full Rate: $180 per month session
Student Rate: $160 per month session

All prices are GST inclusive.

No refund will be given if you fail to attend any/all workshops. Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to commencement will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Workshop numbers are limited so places are allocated on a first-in basis. If workshops fail to reach minimum quota Queen Street Studio reserves to right to cancel, with all monies refunded in full.
